The Meinl Sonic Energy "Deep Sound" Thunder Drum | Piccolo produces powerful, deep, resonant sounds similar to the rumble of thunder. Made of lightweight synthetic material, it's comfortable to hold and easy to play. Leaving the metal spring free to oscillate and guiding it with gentle wrist movements creates the characteristic thunder sound. Striking the spring with your hand creates crisper, crisper accents. Opening and closing the sound hole allows for further tonal variation, including expressive wah-wah-like effects.
It is an ideal tool for sonic journeys in which natural atmospheres play a central role, but also for live performances and creative sound design.
