The Condor Bass Flute in the key of D minor (440 Hz) is one of the most popular bass flutes in the catalog. Handcrafted from Spanish cedar, a softwood that provides a warm, deep resonance, it offers a full, enveloping, and incredibly expressive sound.
Despite its deep, powerful tone, the high register notes retain a clarity that also makes it an excellent solo instrument. At 64 cm long, it's ideal for experienced players with hands large enough to handle the distance between the holes.
The flute has six holes, but it comes with a leather ligature that covers the third hole from the top (the sixth hole). This makes it easier to play for those who prefer to start with the five-hole configuration. The ligature can easily be removed to return to the full configuration.
