What is the Sidereal Day
The sidereal day is the exact duration of one Earth rotation measured against the fixed stars — not the Sun. It lasts 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds: about 4 minutes less than the solar day. It's the real time of Earth's rotation. Hans Cousto calculated the frequency corresponding to this cycle: 97.36 Hz — note G2. A grounded, earthly, direct sound — the voice of the planet as it turns.
