MEINL white gongs are traditionally handcrafted in China using a special bronze alloy. These gongs are also known as "Double-Light-Gong" because of the light surface on both sides. They have a very flat profile with a bent edge, which produces a powerful, clear, ringing sound with a medium duration. Each gong comes with a mallet designed to match the size of the gong.
